Frequently Asked Questions

Didn’t find the answer to your question?
Do Lionheart employees get a childcare discount?

Yes. Team members receive a 50% tuition discount for children in their direct custody or guardianship.

Do I need experience in early childhood education?

Not necessarily. While experience is valued, we also hire for heart and passion. Many of our team members started with little to no classroom experience and grew into leadership roles through on-the-job training, mentorship, and access to online courses.

What benefits does Lionheart offer?

Full-time team members have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 403(b)/Roth retirement plan with employer contributions, 10 days of PTO, 11 paid holidays, earned wage access through UKG Wallet, employer-paid life insurance, flexible spending accounts, and potential eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.

Are there opportunities for career growth?

Yes. Many of our academy directors and leaders started as classroom teachers. We have a clear progression path — from Assistant Teacher to Teacher to Lead Teacher — and we actively promote from within. You'll also have access to professional development, coaching from leadership, and tuition discounts at Dallas Baptist University.

What makes Lionheart different from other childcare employers?

Lionheart is a nonprofit, Christ-centered organization that partners with local churches. Our team members see their work as a calling and a mission field. We also offer benefits that are uncommon in the childcare industry, including a medical insurance plan, a retirement savings plan, and employer-paid life insurance.
